Each year on June 20, the world celebrates World Refugee Day, a day to honor the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution. World Refugee Day shines a light on the rights, needs and dreams of refugees, helping to mobilize political will and resources so refugees can not only survive but also thrive.
This June 20th, International Neighbors is hosting a World Refugee Day event at IX Art Park from 4-7pm. We will be celebrating our refugee and SIV community in Charlottesville with free food, face painting, a fashion show, and raffle! We hope you'll join us for this special event.
